Hometown: Warsaw, IN

Bio: I grew up on a farm in small town Indiana, just outside of Warsaw. I distinctly remember being encouraged by my parents during undergrad to shoot for the stars and go to medical school and I am grateful to have had this encouragement (most days J). During my medical training, I fell in love with caring for women, children, pregnant women and welcoming sweet babies into this world. I carry special interest in all things obstetrics, infertility, and maternal fetal medicine. I am certain I could not have accomplished what I have in my life without the love and support of my husband, my family, my friends, many mentors along the way and my colleagues I have had the pleasure of working alongside the past 3 years. I give all the glory to God and feel blessed to have my faith to keep me on track while navigating this crazy life.

Why Memorial for OB fellowship: The OB fellowship at Memorial has so much to offer. It is exactly the kind of training I am looking for. Since I attended residency here, I have developed strong relationships with the numerous amazing providers in our system and community and they are exactly the kind of people I want to learn from. Dr. Balam and Dr. Singh have gone above and beyond to create time in my fellowship year to accomplish all of my goals which includes obstetric ultrasonography, surgical obstetrics, high risk obstetrics, and so much more. I would not want to do my fellowship anywhere else!

Clinical interests: I love serving woman and children. I love provided OB care, pediatric care, and women’s health in all avenues.

Hobbies: She loves to spend time with her friends and family, pontoon days on the lake, traveling to the beach, and loving on her dog (Irish) and cat (Nala).

Advice: Choose a program where you want to be like the people who are there. Never lose sight of what really matters to you in life. Residency is hard but it doesn’t last forever.

Favorite thing to do/place to go in South Bend/Mishawaka: Notre Dame games!! Go Irish!
