Bio: Hi there! My name is Bailey Swan. I grew up in Belvidere, Illinois with my parents and older sister, Erica. My favorite childhood memories include playing outside amongst the cornfields or spending time at my family’s Christmas tree lots. My life had a change of scenery when I was recruited to play volleyball at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. I graduated with a degree in Biology and the memories to last a lifetime. I was fortunate to move back home and attend medical school nearby at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. I knew almost immediately that I wanted to pursue a career in family medicine. I cherish having the opportunity to build relationships with patients from all age groups and backgrounds. My particular interests include preventive care, health literacy, and rural medicine. I am thrilled to be a part of the Memorial family! I knew right away that this program offered an incredibly supportive environment and a wealth of opportunities. My boyfriend, Chad, and I are very much enjoying South Bend and the surrounding area. We enjoy spending quality time with our loved ones, riding our bicycles to local restaurants, fishing, and taking our dog Jordie for walks around our neighborhood.
