The Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program was recently granted “initial recognition” for osteopathic recognition! Osteopathic Recognition is a designation conferred by the ACGME’s Osteopathic Principles Committee upon ACGME-accredited programs that demonstrate, through a formal application process, the commitment to teaching and assessing OPP at the graduate medical education (GME) level. With this recognition, our osteopathic residents and interested allopathic residents will receive formalized training in OMT and application of osteopathic principles to all aspects of family medicine during their three years of residency. Upon completion of residency, they will receive a certificate noting completion of residency with osteopathic recognition. For further information and questions, please reach out to our osteopathic faculty Dr. Rachel Schuster and Dr. Tucker Balam!
