Bio: Hi! My name is Allyson DiMagno and I grew up in Fairport, NY, a suburb of Rochester. I attended Cornell University where I studied biological sciences and competed on the Cornell Women’s Basketball Team. Following my undergrad studies, I attended medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine where I fell in love with family medicine. I completed my residency training at Memorial where I had robust inpatient and outpatient training, worked with underserved populations, and developed meaningful patient relationships. Additionally, I refined my passion for sports medicine and enjoyed helping patients with musculoskeletal conditions regain function and improve their quality of life. I was fortunate to complete my sports medicine fellowship at South Bend-Notre Dame and enjoyed working with athletes at the high school and collegiate levels, while also learning musculoskeletal ultrasound. I will be finishing my Health Services Management Fellowship this year before finally calling it quits on additional medical training. I hope to pursue an outpatient sports medicine practice in the future.

Why Memorial: I picked Memorial due to the outstanding family medicine training, flexible curriculum options, and the people. While completing my training, I was fortunate to be supported as I fulfilled requirements for both sports medicine and health services management.

Hobbies: I enjoy being active (running, weightlifting), watching and playing basketball and soccer, crosswords, jigsaw puzzles, and baking.

Favorite quotes: “We should do three things every day of our life. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is to think, we should spend some time in thought. And, number three is you should have your emotions moved to tears.” Jim Valvano
