Matthew Jackson, PhD, HSPP

Psychologist, Integrated Primary Care

Dr. Jackson joined the family medicine residency program in September 2018. Within the residency, he works as an embedded Integrated Primary Care (IPC) psychologist allowing him to provide targeted behavioral intervention for conditions such as chronic pain, sleep problems, chronic headaches, hypertension, diabetes, weight management, smoking cessation, depression and anxiety. Additionally, Dr. Jackson is actively involved in the pre-surgical psychological evaluations necessary for bariatric surgeries occurring within the Beacon Medical Group.

Dr. Jackson grew up right here in South Bend, Indiana. In his free time he enjoys playing and watching sports, traveling, running distance races and watching movies. Dr. Jackson has served as an active duty Air Force psychologist from 2014-2018. During his time in the Air Force he also served two years as full faculty of the Wilford Hall Internship Program at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. Dr. Jackson continues to proudly serve as a psychologist in the Air National Guard.
