Hi, my name is Darla! I came to the Residency Program in March of 2023 in the role of Program Coordinator. I have been with Beacon for 6 years, most recently as the Referrals Coordinator for BMG Rheumatology and previously as a front desk receptionist in Pediatrics. Prior to that I worked for 8 years for two family practice physicians who were in private practice in a rural office. These experiences have given me the opportunity to experience many different aspects of our vast healthcare system. I am very excited to now be a part of a great team who trains our future family physicians.
My husband David, a retired paramedic firefighter, and I have two grown sons, Nathan and Keith. Nathan is a Computer Software Engineer and Keith is an Electrical Engineer, both proud Purdue grads! In my free time I enjoy a wide variety of hobbies. Some of them are: jewelry making, using my Cricut, making tumblers, sewing, reading, cooking and baking.
