Dr. Schuster joined the faculty in 2019. After completing her family medicine residency here at Memorial in 2018, she completed the Health Services Management Fellowship and received her Masters of Public Affairs from Indiana University in 2019. She was chief resident during her third year of residency. During her fellowship year, she was involved with the start of the Suboxone Clinic at the residency program and created the Medication Assisted Treatment handbook to help guide resident and faculty management of patients with opioid use disorder. As a faculty member, she remains active in the Suboxone Clinic Committee, continues to deliver OB patients, organizes medical student rotations, including family medicine clerkship rotations for IU South Bend third-year medical students, and hones her OMT skills. She couldn’t ask for a better group of physicians and residents to work with.
In her free time, Dr. Schuster enjoys playing with her dog, Judy, and cheering for various Chicago sports teams with her husband, Randy. They also enjoy traveling and sand volleyball, but only Dr. Schuster enjoys reading and running. They are happy to call South Bend home.
