Hello! My name is Autumn Menkedick, and I am from Guilford, a small town in Southeast Indiana. After high school, I headed across the state to Evansville to study Biology at the University of Southern Indiana. I attended medical school at Indiana University and studied in Terre Haute for all four years as part of the rural medicine program. I love living in Indiana and am dedicated to serving the wonderful state I call home. I am most interested in outpatient family medicine with an emphasis on preventative care.
I chose Memorial for my residency because I believe it will help me achieve my professional goals and encourage me to become the best physician possible. Memorial was my first interview of the season and I was very impressed by the program. The residents and faculty were extremely personable and welcoming. The unopposed training had everything I was looking for with great opportunities for patient continuity of care and autonomy, but with lots of support from faculty. As I continued to go on other interviews, I kept thinking back to my day at Memorial. I took that as a sign that I belonged at this great program!
Outside of medicine, I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Some of my favorite activities include hiking, checking out local breweries, wineries, baking and swimming.
