Rural Inpatient Medicine – Rural Curriculum

The Community Hospital of Bremen is a rural Critical Access Hospital (CAH) thirty minutes south of Memorial Hospital.  The inpatient service takes care of patients in observation, inpatient, and swing bed (step-down/pre-SNF care) statuses.  The hospital also does post-op care and has infusion rooms.  These are all overseen by the team of Hospitalists who also cover Beacon’s Elkhart General Hospital.  The resident on this rotation will work alongside these hospitalists to take care of these hospitalized patients.
