Hometown: Champaign, IL
Dr. Reed is a graduate of the Memorial Family Medicine Residency program. After completing his residency at Memorial in 2014, Dr. Reed joined the residency program full time as an Academic Hospitalist. His work is primarily in the hospital, staffing the medicine service, mentoring resident physicians and seeing a hospitalist panel. He has a particular interest in inpatient medicine.
Dr. Reed lives in South Bend with his wife, Heather, and their cat, Thor.
Why Memorial: I came to visit several days after interview season ended. The family atmosphere at the residency and in the hospital, combined with top-notch training made it one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made!
Clinical interests: Adult inpatient medicine
Hobbies: Traveling and learning new things – most recently learning the mandolin, rock climbing, and trying my hand at scuba diving
