Dr. Suttor joined the faculty in 1999. Prior to becoming a faculty member, Dr. Suttor worked in a busy rural practice for 10 years. He is involved in the prenatal and obstetrics curriculum and performs obstetrical ultrasounds. He also enjoys teaching procedures, such as vasectomy and colonoscopy. He is a certified Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) instructor.
Dr. Suttor is interested in tropical medicine and in public health in underdeveloped countries, having served in the past as a medical missionary. He coordinates the elective international rotations and continues to enjoy traveling and working abroad. Dr. Suttor is active in his church, enjoys bicycling, water sports, scuba diving and woodworking. He and his wife, Bonnie, have three sons and a daughter.
