Hometown: Metamora, IL
Bio: I was raised in the military but went to high school and met my husband in the small town of Metamora, IL, so I now claim it as my own! I studied Systems Engineering at the University of Illinois, graduating in 2010. I then worked for five years as an engineering project and program manager at Nielsen, the TV ratings company. While visiting a mission hospital in Papua New Guinea over the 2014-2015 New Year, I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine. In July of 2015 I left my engineering job to complete post baccalaureate coursework at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL where I was living at the time. I then attended medical school back in the Midwest at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. During medical school, I took the 2020-2021 academic year off to welcome a baby boy, and then went on to complete my 4th year 2021-2022! I love spending time with my little family, going on adventures big and small, cooking, gardening, sports and enjoying nice weather outside!
