Greetings! My name is Kyle Ramthun, and I have spent my entire life in the metro Detroit area, aside from the 4 years I spent at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. There, I met my wonderful wife of over five years, Andrea. We now have a 2-year-old daughter, Addy, and we are thrilled to be a part of the South Bend area and discover all it has to offer. Andrea will continue to work as a dentist and Addy will continue to teach us every day. We love to exercise as a family, spend time outdoors, find new craft beers (minus Addy), and have made a family pact to maintain our Detroit/Michigan sports allegiances despite our new geography.

Memorial made a strong first impression on me when I first met faculty and residents at the AAFP national conference last summer. The program offers everything I love about family medicine: rigorous full-spectrum care, robust procedural training, and a strong community presence. Above all, though, the people of Memorial sealed the deal for me. The faculty and residents have established a culture where patient care, medical education, collaboration and resident growth are all emphasized. I’m excited to be a part of it for the next three years. Cheers!
