Rural Focus Curriculum

FMR_Rural Icon-0820[1]Created with Sketch.

This curriculum is intended for residents who know early in their training that they want to practice in a rural setting.

Residents in the Rural curriculum will develop a longitudinal relationship with a rural healthcare-related organization, initiative, or project.  This educational element is developed together with the program faculty during the PGY-1 year and will culminate with the resident giving a noon conference presentation about their experiences near the conclusion of their PGY-3 year.  This experience is designed to facilitate a deeper understanding of the unique character and needs of rural communities.
